To succeed in the rapidly changing world of media devoted to informing the public about governmental and political processes, you’ll need to understand how both government and the media work. The dual B.S./M.A. program in Communication Arts and Government and Politics will provide you with this knowledge and allow you to complete both degrees in just five years of full-time study.
While still working toward your undergraduate Communication Arts degree, you’ll enroll in four approved graduate courses in Government and Politics. These courses will still apply to your bachelor’s degree if for any reason you do not wish to continue at the master’s level after four years.
Career Outcomes
In the dual B.S./M.A. program in Communication Arts and Government and Politics, you’ll learn how to present government and political issues through a wide range of media, including: social and mobile media, television and radio broadcasting, advertising, and public relations.
