This degree is taught in ASU’s Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College, which is internationally ranked for the quality of its teacher preparation programs. In fact, ASU began as an institution for training teachers. Learning happens everywhere and at all ages. The Bachelor of Arts in Education program in educational studies provides a flexible pathway to a bachelor's degree for students who want to work with children, youth and adults within nonprofit settings, community-based organizations, civic organizations and businesses. Students develop practical skills aligned with workforce demands, including facilitating learning experiences with, and for, diverse people in different contexts. They also develop skills for effective communication, collaboration, critical thinking, leadership, advocacy and innovation --- all of which are essential to educators working across professional contexts.
3.0 GPA or equivalent. Must have three years of high school coursework. (If you are currently in high school, ASU needs to see 9–11 grade coursework. If you have completed high school, ASU needs to see 10–12 grade coursework.) Must have and present a completed high school diploma or certificate.
