This degree is taught by faculty with years of hands-on experience. Students have a chance to engage in health care with experts from a variety of fields. The Bachelor of Science program in health care coordination prepares students to effectively coordinate resources to optimize individual health outcomes. Through coursework, students build a thorough understanding of health care systems, community and public health, community resources, health education and health advocacy. The program emphasizes patient advocacy and education, the resources available from community and public health services, and the role of health policy and financing in modern health care. Students prepare to work with an interdisciplinary team to use resources, provide health education and advocate for the patient when it is needed the most.
3.0 GPA or equivalent. Must have three years of high school coursework. (If you are currently in high school, ASU needs to see 9–11 grade coursework. If you have completed high school, ASU needs to see 10–12 grade coursework.) Must have and present a completed high school diploma or certificate.
