Toledo Law’s tuition is one of the lowest in the region. More than half of entering Toledo Law students receive merit scholarship support which renew automatically each year of study. In-state and out-of-state students pay the same affordable tuition rate, and out-of-state students pay a $100 surcharge each semester. Volunteer service. Toledo Law connects students to volunteer opportunities with public service agencies and other nonprofits engaged in pro bono work. Our students have donated more than 28,000 hours of service in Toledo and across the U.S. since 2007 when our public service commendation program began. Small classroom sizes. Resources to support your success. Toledo Law students have access to the Cubbon Courtroom for trial practice. The Legal Institute of the Great Lakes (LIGL) is a multidisciplinary research center within the college, which supports research, maintains publications, and sponsors conferences on legal, economic, and social issues of importance to the Great Lakes region of the U.S. and Canada. The 42,000-square-foot LaValley Law Library features private study space, group-study rooms and a multimedia center. It is located on four floors of the Law Center, home to Toledo Law. Connections to a thriving law alumni network. Build connections with an alumni network that spans the country consisting of more than 8,000 living alumni of Toledo Law. Alumni include state supreme court justices, federal judges and a member of the U.S. Congress.

Students are eligible to apply if you have a valid Law School Admission Test (LSAT) or Graduate Record Examination (GRE) score from within the last three years and will have completed all requirements for your undergraduate degree prior to enrollment or if you enroll under 3+3 accelerated degree program.

Application: Answer all questions on the form. If a question does not apply to you or if you prefer not to answer an optional question, please indicate as such.

LSAT/GRE Scores: Toledo Law accepts either your LSAT or GRE score. The Admissions Committee considers your highest score when making admission decisions. If submitting an LSAT and GRE score, attach an addendum indicating which test score to use and why. Please contact our Toledo Law Admissions team if you have questions on how to proceed.

Transcripts: The Admissions Committee considers not only overall grades, but also course work, major(s), minor(s), and concentrations. While course work for advanced degrees is not factored into your LSAC-calculated GPA, the committee will consider graduate studies in its evaluation.

Personal Statement: The Admissions Committee gives considerable emphasis to your personal statement. Include circumstances that you wish to be considered, such as a history of overcoming disadvantage, special experiences or characteristics, or a history of high academic performance despite poor performance on standardized tests. Remember to incorporate the information you believe is indicative of future success in the legal profession.
