The College of Education offers coursework which leads to the Master of Education in Instructional Leadership, with concentrations in two areas: Educational Studies and Policy Studies. Master of Education (MEd) programs are for people who are or want to become teachers, researchers, and educational leaders. Our master's students work with our faculty, graduate students, and community partners to develop research and practical experience in Chicago's schools and community-based organizations. MEd. Full-time students can finish in 1-2 years.

A degree award certificate or diploma should be submitted for all completed degree programs. Applicants to all concentrations must also submit transcripts from all postbaccalaureate work. In addition to the Graduate College minimum requirements, applicants must meet the following program requirements:Baccalaureate Field No restrictions. Grade Point AveragePolicy Studies: Requires a 3.00/4.00 for the final 60 semester (90 quarter) hours of undergraduate study and for all postbaccalaureate/graduate coursework. Other Concentrations: Recommended minimum of 2.75/4.00 for the final 60 semester (90 quarter) hours of undergraduate study and at least 3.00/4.00 for all postbaccalaureate/graduate coursework.
