Master of Science in Medical Laboratory Science

The Master of Science (MS) in Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) provides the opportunity for college graduates with bachelor's degrees unrelated to the field to enter the profession, and offers strong preparation for immediate employment or further postgraduate study. As part of the curriculum, students receive extensive practical experience working in laboratories of affiliated clinical sites, including WVU Medicine locations.The program is based at the WVU Robert C. Byrd Health Sciences Center and consists of lectures, student laboratory instruction, and clinical experience at one of the program’s affiliated laboratories.
