The Mental Health Intervention Certificate program provides information on the theory and practice of supporting mental health and wellness through helping skills such as assessment, counseling, behavioral interventions, and other supportive and culturally responsive strategies. Mental health is an integral component of our overall performance and well-being. This 4-course, 12-credit hour program is offered on the Oxford campus to current Miami University degree-seeking graduate students. Coursework may include online electives. Note (below) that certain elective courses may be restricted to particular degree seekers.

A cumulative undergraduate GPA of at least 2.75 out of 4.00Applicants for graduate study must have earned at least a 4-year U.S. equivalent Baccalaureate degree. Typically, 16 years of schooling with four years of full-time study at the university level, culminating with the award of a first or second degree. Applicants must submit their academic record/transcript at the time of application. The Graduate School accepts unofficial transcripts at the time of application and does not require third-party credential evaluations.
