Pre-veterinary medicine students may choose any major, but should work with a pre-professional advisor to plan a course of study that fulfills the pre-veterinary medicine studies requirements as well as the requirements for the major. UIC undergraduates can declare a Pre-Veterinary educational goal to prepare for entry into the University of Illinois Veterinary school, or other veterinary programs. Preprofessional educational goals are curricula designed for students who intend to pursue their undergraduate or graduate education at University of Illinois professional schools. Preprofessional educational goals are complementary to degree programs, and students must apply as undeclared or to a specific bachelor's degree program.
