This degree is taught by ASU’s College of Integrative Sciences and Arts, so you'll enjoy an approach to teaching, learning and discovery that brings many fields of knowledge together to form ideas and solutions. At the same time, you'll have the flexibility to focus on what you love most. Counseling and applied psychological science is a specialty promoting psychological well-being. The substance abuse and addictions concentration of the Bachelor of Science program in counseling and applied psychological science provides coursework in counseling skills and techniques as they relate to substance abuse and addictions. Students acquire the necessary skills in screening, assessing, diagnosing and planning treatment of patients afflicted with substance abuse, addictions and related disorders.
3.0 GPA or equivalent. Must have three years of high school coursework. (If you are currently in high school, ASU needs to see 9–11 grade coursework. If you have completed high school, ASU needs to see 10–12 grade coursework.) Must have and present a completed high school diploma or certificate.
