STEM-classified degree: graduates are eligible for 3 years of Optional Practical Training (OPT) in the USA. This degree is taught by ASU’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. The faculty include 15 National Academy of Sciences members, 3 Pulitzer Prize winners and 2 Noble Prize winners. The MS program in geological sciences is designed to provide fundamental graduate training in geology. Students are encouraged to cross subject boundaries and pursue new understandings of Earth and the solar system.
