The Counselor Education & Supervision Ph.D. program prepares professional counselors for positions of leadership in counselor education and research. Accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs, this doctoral program emphasizes research, professional practice, advocacy and leadership. You will conduct scholarly research and apply what you learn to your counseling practice. You will specialize in a minor concentration such as special education, psychology, neuropsychology, family studies, or law and policy. As a graduate, you will be prepared for many career fields, but especially the role of scholar, practitioner and teacher at the university level.

Three letters of recommendation. Applicant may use employers and professors as references.

Relevant experience (one year preferred)
A masters degree from a CACREP-accredited counseling program. If a student has a different degree, they may have to take a deficiency coursework determined by the faculty.
Unofficial copies of transcripts from institutions attended. Applicants recommended for admission will be required to submit final official transcripts to the Graduate College admissions office.
