Today's epidemiologists work at the forefront of groundbreaking research that attempts to understand the causes and means of controlling and preventing human infectious and chronic diseases, as well as the occurrence of disease among humans, changes within populations over time and the differences between populations and their risk of disease. By joining the research-focused Ph.D. program in Epidemiology, you will delve into these studies and more through a combination of coursework, comprehensive doctoral examinations and the development of a doctoral research project.
